Trinity Sails Again - August 11, 2019

Trinity was Built by a Huge NC State Wolfpack Fan

First Wind in the Jib Sail Since 2006

First Wind - Main Sail Since 2006

Gaffe Rig Repair - to Allow
for Sailing

Trinity's First Sailing Experience Since 2006

She Handled the Wind Well.  We Experienced A Couple of Gusts, She Tilted Between 15 and 30 Degrees.  We adjusted the Tiller and eventually . . .She Decided when She was Going to React - When She was Good and Ready.
My Brother Michael's Craftsmanship was Nothing Less Than Amazing and I Hope He Was Smiling Down on Trinity Today!

Trinity is a Breathtaking Boat to Sail!

RT. 35 Draw Bridge at low tide.  Bridge, depending on the tide is between 22 & 28 feet high.  Trinity's Mast without the Gaffe Rig is Approximately 24 Feet.  A Quick call to the Bridge Captain and He happily raised the bridge.  If you were on Rt 35 this morning - sorry!

RT. 35 Draw Bridge at low tide

Very Easy Boat to Sail - Very Forgiving to This Novice!  Many adjustments, but well worth learning her language.

When Trinity is at Full Sail - Both Jib (Front) sail and Main Sail are taking full wind, she glides through the water - she moves when she pleases.  When she does move it is with a lot of purpose and direction.  She has a life in the water and she is going to live it.

A View of Trinity that does not get old - she is easily managed from the tiller.

Trinity is currently docked at Lockwood Boat Works  (RT 35 in S. Amboy, NJ located on the CheeseQuake Creek (SW corner) of map.
For her First Sailing Trip, we headed across the bay to
Perth Amboy and then to Princess Bay, just off of
the Southern Tip
of Staten Island
